Mystic India Grand Premiere in Tampa, USA

16 September 2006, Tampa, USA

A dazzling Premiere of Mystic India took place on Saturday September 16 2006 at the Museum Of Science and Industry (MOSI), Tampa. The event was hosted by The Indo-US Chamber of Commerce and BAPS Care International.

Celebrities and leading figures, including the renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal, attended the premier and were visibly impressed by the event, which was attended by 10,000 visitors.

A colorful procession with young children dressed in traditional colorful started off the day’s proceedings.

Prior to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, and Robert Arnett, winner of three national awards author and writer of India Unveiled and Finders Keepers, spoke about the inherent nature of dharma to India. He cited a personal incident in which he dropped his wallet only to have a boy tap his shoulder to hand it back to him. When he offered to give the boy a “finders fee” the boy flatly refused. Perplexed, a by-stander translated that the boy wouldn’t take anything because it was his “dharma.”

Inside, a symbolic replica of Dada Khachar’s Darbar, lovingly and beautifully fashioned by the Kishore and Yuvak Mandals, and an exhebition on Indian culture added a traditional flavor to the reception area.

Tarunbhai gave informative presentations on “Mystic India: behind the scenes,” which gave on insight into its production.
